As we look at the best choices in penny stocks for 2013, we are now looking at the five best penny stocks in mining.
These Five Mining Stocks Standout:
First: North Bay Resources (NBRI) – Yes, a client but one we believe will do great this year. More on NBRI in future posts.
Second: Lone Star Gold (LSTG) – While we see an upside here, they are raising through an S1.
Third: Aurico Gold (AUQ) – Yes, not a true penny stock and it is traded on the NYSE, but I always like to do options on AUQ. Be careful here as it just moved up in recent days. I do not really like it above $8, as I think in this range it is a hold. The right news could see AUQ move up sharply, plus any sign of inflation or currency weakness in the US (highly likely) will also send AUQ higher with most gold stocks.
Fourth: Now a Canadian: Balmoral Resources Ltd. (OTCQB: BALMF and TSX.V: BAR). Great news has doubled the share price since August. This is a great stock and while I do not own it today, it is on my short list. Honestly, I have been waiting for the dip that just has not happened.
Finally, The Fifth: There is a buzz about this one, and we are not going to get into the rumors. Viking Minerals (OTCBB: VKML). It is currently subpenny, but keep watching this one over the next few days and weeks. We have no holding or interest in it, for those that may ask!
